Dementia: Study Links Proton-Pump Inhibitor Heartburn Drugs to Increased Risk of Brain Disease
The study, published Feb. 15 in the journal JAMA Neurology, links drugs
like Prilosec, Nexium and Prevacid to a 44 percent increased risk of
dementia when regularly taken by those aged 75 or older.
