Oba Ogunwusi Promises To Create 40,000 Jobs

The Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, has acquired 30 square miles of land in IIe Ife for oil palm, cocoa and rubber plantation.
The king disclosed that the agricultural investment would boost job creation as more than 40,000 youths will be employed and it will lead to the reduction of crime rate in IIe Ife and the state.
This statement was made by the director, media and public affairs of Ooni’s Palace, Moses olafare that the monarch has dedicated the year 2016 to youth development.
The palace spokesman noted that aside of this, the resort being built by the monarch where about 3,000 youths were `currently engaged.
The statement read in part: “Kabiyesi has dedicated the new year 2016 to turn around the fortunes of the youth by unfolding a new vista of hope in terms of gainful employment. Already, no fewer than 3,000 youths are engaged at ongoing project site of Ife Grand Resort, spanning over 1000 acres of land established by the monarch to provide job opportunities for the people.
Meanwhile, Oba A Ogunwusi, had begun moves to look into the age long communal clash of Ife and Modakeke within his domain in Osun state.
The highly respected monarch has set up the House of Oduduwa Trust Fund for the rebuilding of the property destroyed during the war between Ife and Modakeke.
